Working for Sydney

Sydney needs strong and effective leadership to get the job done—especially an independent representative who can lead without fear or favour. Being an MP as well as Lord Mayor provides me with additional opportunity work with State and Federal government.

As an MP, I have direct contact with other members of Parliament to push for action on inner city needs. The role of Lord Mayor with a strong Independent Team at the City of Sydney allows me to get things done directly in the local community.

There is no secret to what I do… it is hard work, persistence and cooperation. I have an active Independent Team at Council and capable people supporting me, including City communities, staff and volunteers.

My Electorate Office staff and my Town Hall staff are efficient, dedicated professionals who are conscious of the different needs, interests and expectations of the various constituencies of Sydney.

Please call my Electorate Office if you would like to volunteer help with my work, telephone 9360 3053.
